User generated query stopped working?

I just tried to generate a user defined query (and also to run an existing User Defined Query and got the fowllowing error on both my production version and my development Test version.

We have been able to create and run User defined queries before but this is the first time since Version 3 I believe.

I have not made any changes in this area in my application and have tried both as admin and as a user.

Could this be a bug generally or something to do with my config?

Furthermore...

In the menu I have options of

"Manage Queries" and "Run User Defined Queries"

If I activate either of these I get the Manage Queries option and strangely it appears to jump straight to the second step. !!!!????

Is anybody else having this problem?

This is likely to be a bug introduced in v3.0. We'll investigate and fix asap.

Sorry but I have just tested this and the behaviour is still the same.

ie when I select either "Run a User defined Query or ManageUserdefined Queries I get the Add Query dialog.

I have crosschecked that I am running 1036, and I have also created a new menu entry tree for user defined queries with entries to run and manage.

Both entries behave the same way.

The fix is for the original bug report at the top of the thread. What you saying in the last message is normal - it most probably happens because you have no user defined queries defined. There is nothing to manage or run - just add.

There are only user defined queries in my Live production version.

Probably a moot point but might it be an improvement to say "There are no queries defined" if user tries Run when none exist? (I know you havent got enough to do.... <grin>
