Trouble with license for v3.0 Upgrade

After downloading and installing the v3.0 upgrade, even though I captured the new license number info, here's the message I get when trying to open AwareIM (e.g. when the AwareIM server is trying to load)

"Error Starting AwareIM

License Expired or Invalid for product id xxxxxxx...."

What should I do?

Could you please verify that product id registered for your license is the same as the actual id of your software?

To do this you need to log into your account on our web site, go to the Licensing tab and open the form for your license. Then check the product id displayed on the license form. The id must match the id displayed by the software in the "License expired..." message.

I just checked it as you suggested and the product id numbers do match.

I sent this email as you suggested right after your post early yesterday morning. Thusfar, I've not received any sort of response. Do you know that the normal response time is?

We sent you a reply immediately after receiving your e-mail. Apparently you didn't receive it (do you have spam filters?)

We were asking you if you ran the productKey.bat utility to apply your product key. Also make sure that you enter the product key without spaces.

You're right - I never got your e-mail reply (but I did get the auto-email notifying me of your posted reply in this forum .. .. go figure!?!!).

Anyway, I found and ran the produckey.bat file and all seems to be working fine now with the upgrade.

Just out of curiosity, is this something that must be done manually at an upgrade, or did I somehow screw up/miss entering this during the installation of the upgrade?

This has to be done manually and the instructions must have been given during the upgrade process. You must have overlooked them.
