This is not necessarily a problem report, just trying to understand how the Mac version is supposed to work.
Currently testing the latest version for Mac (ARM).
No changes to the AwareIM configuration have been made.
Just using the standard database and running everything on the same machine.
We use the standard login page.
So basically, this is what happens:
- We start AwareIM and the Config Tool
- We put the BSV in editing mode in Config Tool and do some changes
- We put it in testing mode, we log in, it works fine
- We do the same procedure a few times, we just refresh the browser and the session is still alive (as expected) and the web app loads.
- But after a few times of putting the app in testing mode, refreshing will not work, and we get kicked out to the login page. If we try to log back in, it will not work even though the app is in testing mode. The only thing we can do now is restart AwareIM.
- Logging in with a different account or using incognito mode doesn’t help.
- Same problem in Safari and Chrome.
- Raising the session timeout setting for the user doesn’t help either.
Another strange thing I noticed is that we can’t get URL parameters to work.
For instance, I thought we could circumvent the error by adding URL parameters like ?domain=acme&userName=bob&password=secret&testingMode=true. But on the Mac installation, this does not seem to work at all.
