Running AwareIM as a Service on Windows Server

On a pevious installation there were instructions on how to do this - run InstallService.bat. After a server change and a an AwareIM upgrade (now version 9) these instructions are missing - though the file is in the bin folder.
It is safe to run?

I have to suppose it is safe and is the same file to run as a service.

It is the same procedure on V9 as V8.
Running the install script batch file is safe.
It creates the services “Tomcat” and “AwareIM”.
