Query on a View

I have a couple of strange things happening when I create a Query that uses a SQL view. The Aware version is 8.8.

I have an Operation on a Record to edit/view the main record the view is based on. This works just fine. It runs a process that finds the record and brings up the main form. No Issue. That is the only Operation on Records defined.

But, if I click on the line for a record anywhere, other than the icon for the operation, it brings up the default form for the view record. I don't have any default operations defined in Operations on Records.

Any ideas?

After selecting a record to view it displays the record in a popup window. When I close that window the headings for my query disappear.

Any thoughts on that?

What SQL View are you talking about? Is it an externally persisted object that shows a database view?

When you click on the line the default operation on record is executed. On the list of operations on records you can mark one operation as a default one. Please check out what you have there

The only operation on record is to run a process that opens a different form and it is not marked as a default

Very strange. Can you send your BSV with the description how to reproduce the problem in this BSV?

I was actually able to get around it by adding another operation that does the same thing as the one already on the Operations with Records. I unchecked the Display operation name on the button and Display image on the button fields and now it at least opens the correct form.

I didn't want to have a default option on this query, but at least it goes to the right place now.

Any thoughts on why the headings disappear?
