a heading uses #, ##, ### for increasing heading depths.

Headings work on their own - if you add other formatting to them they don't work
Bold - enclose the text in "**" This is bold
Italics - enclose the text in _ This is italics
Strikethrough - enclose the text in two ~~ This is strikethrough
Spoiler - enclose the text in >!!< This is a Spoiler click on the black out to read.
Bullet list - use a - before the list
Numbered lists start with a number and a period 1. You don't need to use sequential numbers.
