If the database for this business space was created on Derby, but subsequently the settings for AwareIM were changed so that the MariaDB is used instead of Derby, it seems logical that AIM can't find the database 'painter' as that doesn't exist in MariaDB. Perhaps you need to change the database connection settings back to Derby, so that AIM can connect to Derby and then delete the business space. After that, you could change the connection settings again to reconnect to MariaDB.
