Browser not using the updated VP

Just started using AIM but failing at the first hurdle. I made a fresh installation with all the default parameters and used the sample CRM. Followed the tutorial to add a couple of menu options to the top bar. Works fine in the preview but when the browser is invoked it only uses the original CRM layout with no menu additions.
Tried save, save all. Save BS and then reload and additional options are shown but again in VP but still not on the browser. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please. The VP is being updated but the browser is not using the new file. Using Firefox, cleared cach and tried Edge. Failed.

What browser are you using? You probably just have to clear the cache in the browser. Each one works differently so search for "clear <browsername> Cache"

Test mode vs publish

Am using Firefox normally but tried Edge just in case of FF having an issue. Also cleared the cache in case that was reading the wrong file.
It must be something basic with my system but it is not anything unusual. Windows 10.
Also tried Test mode and regular but no difference.

Publishing works as expected but not testing.

Rookie mistake. Need to put under test before running the browser then works but this part was not shown in the CRM example tutorial. Found it in the tutorial for new BS.
