SOAP service discovery

Hi,

I had a 6.x Aware application which used the SOAP functionality.
I've upgraded that 6.x to 8.3 and also changed the SOAP interface on the other side.

When I used the "Discover SOAP Service" button in the past, it gave me 1 SOAP service (CourseResults) and two objects CourseResultsParam and CourseResultsResponse.

When I now do the same in 8.3 the CourseResultsParam is now "CourseResults" (so without the Param addition).

Second problem, when I run this service call (REQUEST SERVICE) it gives an "Internal error" with no further explanation in the log files. Maybe it has something to do with each other?

Is this changed or what can cause this?

Maybe the question is not clear and I will add two images to explain it better.

In the Aware version 6, when you press the Discover function, you get other objects than in version 8. The end with "Param".

When you do the same in 8, you get other objects and you cannot rename or edit them anymore.

Second thing, whatever I do to call a simple SOAP server this way (in V8-) I always get an "Internal error".

I read it (twice) and still can't help. No SOAP in 6. No SOAP now. no clue. sorry

8.3 is an old version. Please try the latest one - if you still have problems let us know

Sorry, I use 8.6 (build 2927). Not 8.3

Can you attach a URL of the WSDL file that gives you an internal error. And also the URL of the WSDL that works differently now?

Unfortunately not, its running on an internal server which is not accessable from the web

Can you then provide output of the Aware IM server when you get an internal error?

(you provided output of Tomcat, but we need the Aware IM server output)

Unfortunately, the log in this case is not helpful. We need to somehow re-create the problem on our own machines. Is there a way to do it?

Does SOAP discovery work for you on some public-facing URL's? Or it's the same problem with any URL?

I am confused now. The link you have attached points to a REST Open API file - it has nothing to do with SOAP.

So is the problem in the REST auto-discovery or SOAP auto-discovery?

Yes, I am sorry. I changed the service from SOAP to REST to find out if this works. I did that a few weeks ago and forgot to mention this to you :oops: .

But, same problem. If you Discover this you will get an error (although that happens when I do it).
