Existing External DB: password authentication failed

I am trying to connect to an existing external Postgres database.

Received this error when I clicked "Discover Attributes": Aware IM server encountered the following error: FATAL: password authentication failed for user 'domo_readonly'.

I'm certain that the credentials are correct because we copied & pasted them into PG Admin and connected to the Postgres database with no problem. The PG Admin instance that we connected with was on the same server as the Configuration tool that produced the error message.

1- has anyone connected to an Existing External Postgres database?

2- has anyone had any similar speed bumps in connecting to Existing External databases?

Totally bizarre, but it turns out that the Postgres DB on AWS didn't like + in the password coming from AwareIM but it accepted it just fine from PgAdmin.

Once the + was removed from the password, AwareIM connected fine as an existing external DB.
