Jasper error after update to 8.4

I updated from 8.2 to 8.4 and have one report (out of many) that is throwing an error that is light on clues. No configuration changes at all. Does anyone know what might have changed or where to look for the source of this error?

Hi,

Create another Report and just put a label or any element and try to test this report. if you found no issues then you have to check the report which shows an error on runtime.

Check the elements like Image or QRCode or any element is overlapping... I know this is tedious.. but I also had similar issues in the past and there are no specific clues under the log. But by troubleshooting with removing or putting elements again.. it fixes the issues.

Thanks. I believe I am resigned to that approach. Tedious, but such is life.

The error was caused by a report element overlapping another. In this case, a text item overlapping with a box line item. Odd that it was not a problem until the update.
