swiftinitpvtltd mysql vs mariadb which one is better going after 2019++ inside aware IM. I know sequencing is only available in maria db which is a plus point. MySql is used by tons of apps and may be has better community support.
customaware For what it is worth..... I have migrated nearly all of my apps over to MariaDB. Main reason is to take advantage of Sequences. Very happy with it so far.
BLOMASKY And, with the ability to run free version of MSSQL on both windows and Linux, if your database is not TOO large, that is a choice. bruce
swiftinitpvtltd Thank you! Now when I run my apps with mariadb the general response of server is way better(multiple times faster). Not sure its just because of new wedding experience or because mariadb is generally faster than my sql.
