Log In Timing error calc'ing data for Badge

I have a simple VP with multiple content panels (ie. tabs).

I have an Initialization Process for this VP.
I want to calculate COUNT of Past Due invoices, and put a Qty in the LIRU, & display a Badge in the Tab.

The COUNT function works fine and updates LIRU.
BUT
The tab/badge doesn't show the correct Qty... It LAGS BEHIND until I log in AGAIN.

Its like the VP is drawing BEFORE the Init Process - which is the opposite of the hint text that appears on the Initialization Process property:

Am still on 8.1 bld 2477.
Anyone recall an issue with this?

Jaymer, at the end of the process that all data has been update, at this as the last rule. Make it as an individual rule, with a name like "Update VP" and put this scrip in it.

EXEC_SCRIPT 'AwareApp.goHome();'

This has worked for me in similar cases.

I'm curious if this any different than using DISPLAY PERSPECTIVE.

I'm not so sure I like this... its basically refreshing all the tabs (just like logging in) - so it flashes.
One time the user will see the tab with no badge, the Calc happens, and then the refresh flashes the grid and now a tab has a Badge.
Odd looking.

The real issue is the Init Process timing - supposed to be before any drawing of the VP.

Well I had to resort to this as the option that gave me the latest data, even though it's not pretty. Think of Aware like a Russian car, may not be pretty, but works in all 4 seasons... 😃

Both methods appeared to do the exact same thing... with the flash and redraw being evident.

Tom inspires me... this is the 2nd or 3rd time recently.

In this specific case, here's what works.

I made a new VP named "Administator-dummy" and turned off the regular Administrator.
Now, a blank/empty VP displays immediately, and then the Recalc happens, and then the "original" VP is shown - this time with the badge already calculated.
Perfect, with no apparent overhead.
