Jaymer I’m experiencing email sending delays of up to 12 seconds on servers hosted with UpCloud. On other servers running within a private VMware environment, email delivery is instantaneous, so the issue appears specific to UpCloud and possibly related to how SMTP delivery is handled there.
One recommendation was to disable IPv6 on the UpCloud server to improve DNS resolution. This did reduce DNS lookup times from around 3500 ms to under 200 ms, but unfortunately it did not resolve the email delay.
As a side note, overall server performance on UpCloud has been excellent for all other operations.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
