Missing Chart in Reports section

Hi Support,

It was very surprising that version 8.0 and 8.1 report designer does not have the Chart Element. I confirm was present until version 6. Here are the screenshots

Found one more bug on reporting

When we try to choose different foreground color of text element or expression it never saved. Bug found only on Mac machine version 8.1 latest build.

I do not think transparency flag has any impact on changing the text color. I will check and get back to you on this. (OS Mac)

But I found latest 8.1 build 2457 (OS Windows) still have issues in saving element few properties. Please see the below screenshot for specific properties I want to point. If we change manually font size or (X, Y, WIDTH, HEIGHT) or BAND properties values none are getting saved.

You need to press the Enter key to save them. They ARE getting saved.

You are correct. I able to save properties now by ENTER event. That was tricky 😐

I have found many places where just entering a value is not good enough.
Must press enter to make it stick.

No biggy but good to keep in mind.

AwareIM Document Reports still having the following issues

Chart element is showing but not working on reports. if anyone using charts inside report can confirm will be great.
I found some error while migrating BSV from 8.0 to 8.1 that reports got screwed up with some error. Below is the screenshot.

The charts problem will be fixed in the next build. The errors about elements reaching outside the band area need to be fixed by the developer (the new Jasper Reports library is a lot stricter)

Hi Support,

I will appreciate if you can share any test BSV which display charts are working on 8.1 (2468-) I still not able to perform may be missing something.

And I found another bug on reports if there are more then one subreport relative to each other vertically or table they have not pushed down automatically as data grows which was working fine before 8.1.

Due to this bug it overlaps data and all our reports are screwed up... we tried to tweak but no success.
below are the screenshot of the report and property which should work.

Looking forward to being fixed in the next release.

You need to set the "Position" property to "Float" (this property is new in 8.1)

I just sent him a SKYPE msg to that effect, before I saw your post. He must not know about Float. its very nice.

I read your message first this morning and have tested. it works.
As it was running before prior to 8.1 and haven't tried the new property value so thought it could be an issue.
