Scheduling

Quite often applications need to perform processing of data at some regular time intervals, for example, financial reports may need to be compiled at the end of each quarter; reminder e-mails may need to be sent about meetings each Friday.

Aware IM allows configuring scheduling items that determine the times when this data processing occurs. The data processing must be encapsulated in a process (see Processes as Links between User Interface and Business Logic). It is possible to start a process as a one-off event or as a regularly recurring event. Configuration of scheduling items is described in the Scheduling section.
