Forum issues

Post by hpl123 »

Support,
The forum soft is having issues I think, I have for the last couple of weeks had problems almost every time I try to post something in the forum. I log on, type the post and when clicking submit I get redirected to the login screen again and what I wrote is lost (going back doesn´t work i.e the text I wrote is lost). I have these issues on Windows and Mac and have tried the usual stuff i.e empty cache etc. etc.. The problem is with the forum in some way I believe.

Flarium forum was in a different thread, however AIM Support did comment that its still 'beta' software. Fully respect that comment as you don't really want the headache of additional fixing of issues and things that are just plain broken.

Flarium really does 'look' nice and i still really like it.

Another one is vbullitin which has a paid model and pretty feature packed the last time i looked. Setup and management was fairly straight forward.

Software aside, could it just be a miss configuration somewhere that's giving people the main gripe point when replies 'disappear'?

This is something to do with SSL (forum is now driven by https). We have changed one setting to do with this and it seems to be better now, but still occasionally malfunctions. If anyone knows the forum configuration settings that need to be changed, we are all ears.
