Problem / Fix with UDDs and MS Word 2010

Here is the scenario:

THE PROBLEM

1) AwareIM is running on machine with Windows 2003 Server & MS Office 2010.

2) When using a BSV with UDD (User Defined Documents), user uploads an Office 2010 Word file with Docx extension as a UDD.

3) Run a process using the UDD from #2 in a DISPLAY DOCUMENT action & get the following message:

"Error accessing MSWord document Invoke of: Error accessing MSWord document Invoke of: Open Source: Microsoft Word Description: Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc. . "

4) Go back to the Word document from #2 and
a) Save it as a DOC file (NOT DocX)
b) re-upload to UDD, the Word merge will work perfectly in AwareIM.

THE FIX

5) See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973904 for a description of the message from #3 above.

6) Run the "Fix it for me" link & DOCX files will now be processed properly via AwareIM. Step 4 above is no longer needed.
