I Need a little charting help

Post by kklosson »

My BO has an attribute (Stage) which is selected from 5 options. I want to produce a horizontal bar chart showing how many of each in each stage. So in X Axis I have:

BO.Stage

I can't seem to figure out what to put in the Y Axis. Most of my results end up with cumulative bars such as when I use:

COUNT BO

I get bars that simply increase in value by the number of BOs in each stage.

hi,

you can do grouping the stage attribute in the report.

1. add stageGroupBand
2. in the chart x-axis BO.Stage
3. y-axis using COUNT object
4. below yaxis u can see the groupmember enable, select the groupName

Are you saying that the graph is somehow dependent on the report itself? This is news to me. At the moment, I have just a graph sitting in the title section of the report - nothing else on the report. All I want is the graph which I will use in the presentation.

Having the graph in the title section is definitely your problem.

There is a sample application at C:\AwareIM\samples that you can check out - SampleCharts.bsv

Tom I tried this (in version 3) but could only get the Evaluation Group checkbox and dropdown to become active If I placed the chart in the Title Section - not the footer. !??
But it does work OK - I'm using it in a custom presentation.
