So, I generally avoided using the SQL Editor in the Query Builder in v7.x because it wasn't possible to have a separate test DB but now that we have the ability to utilise dedicated test and production databases in v8 I've now got a whole bunch of views that I'd like to build in SQL.

Whilst I can go and build them natively in the DB it feels like that is a couple of extra steps to achieve the same outcome:
  • Build the view in DB
  • Create 'external' BO in AIM
  • Build the view in AIM
  • Repeat the process for the Prod version

Is it on the product roadmap to return the SQL query builder back inside AIM?

Or, am I doing the whole thing wrong? Bruce, I am expecting you to evangelise for Stored Procs at this point :D
