Calendar New Item

Post by ab042 »

If a user clicks on the + sign on a calendar we need the ability to direct which BO is displayed so they can create a new item. We DO NOT want the user to be able to selecting which BO they want.

Current it shows "New Application" and gives the user a pull down of which BO to select. We need it to go directly to a BO.

Thanks

Aware IM displays a list of objects to choose from because your query (or reference attribute) queries for Appointments group. If you want Aware IM to go directly to a business object, get the query to query on this object rather on the Appointments group.

We want the group displayed but only allow new items in a selected BO.

If we can't get the above can we get an option to turn off the + create feature. This way a user will have to select a menu option to create a new item.

Can you limit access to all objects in the group other than the one you want the user to add (at the access level)?.

I don't believe so because a lot of other places have information that is on the calendar and they need the access to them.

We only want ONE object to be able to be added from the calendar. Even thought the calendar does show and should show other types of objects. If they are adding from the calendar we want it restrict to ONE of the objects not any one of them.

So are you saying that for these other objects the user can modify them but cannot create them?

(if you could make these objects read-only at the access level this would solve the problem)

Yes they can and we want them to be able to make changes to any existing object included in this calendar.

However, only one of the objects should be able to be created here.

Unfortunately, you cannot do this at the moment. We will add this capability to our TODO list.
