Blank Screen after hitting Enter

Post by denisv »

When a user is running a search in Aware (e.g. a query under a menu option) and the do not enter a value, rather than selecting search they hit enter. This results in a blank screen with the menu missing also. The user has no options presented to them.

Is there a way to allow the enter key enforce the action. It seems to work dor other screens.

Also, what are the circumstances when the Back and Forward buttons can or cannot be used.

Seems to be working fine on our systems. Is there any particular menu in your configuration that has this problem, so that we can reproduce it?

In our configuration, we have the BO Call Record.

If we create a new call, then select to add caller details we get a search dialog. If we hit enter there when no value entered we get a blank screen.

Yes, we have. This seems to be a weird Internet Explorer problem - it works fine in other browsers. The problem only happens if you have ONE value prompted at run time. If you have more than one it seems to work, so, I guess, the workaround is to use more than one value.

Thanks for that - it works.

It might look a bit confusing for the user when they were only expecting to be prompted for one value. Since the second value is based on an 'OR' clause and therefore no entry needed, is it possible to 'hide' that input field ?
