summary field in presentation title returns null

I have set up a query which searches my BO (business object) and returns a number of instances of the BO. The results are displayed as a presentation. The presentation title has a field << SUM BO. Attribute>> where Attribute is a number. However this field displays null regardless if the query returns single, several or no instances of the BO.
