Hi support, all
I am having some issues when trying to install Aware IM on a VPS (WS2008). The installation goes through without a problem but there are some issues with Tomcat.
When i start up Aware IM, Jboss and Aware im server starts up ok but Tomcat gives me the following message: "Process finished".

I searched the forum and found a post describing a similar problem and the solution was to restart the VPS/computer and if that didn´t work try changing the Tomcat port. I tried both but it did not solve the problem. The thing is i have the Paralell Plesk controll panel installed on the VPS and i think Plesk uses Tomcat as well (and possible also something else?). Don´t know if that causes issues/conflicts and if so how do i solve them. I also tried running Aware IM as a windows service but that didn´t work either.
Any ideas?

I managed to figure out that i have 2 identical tomcat directories on my VPS (1 in the plesk folder and 1 in the Aware im folder) and i tried changing the port on the wrong "server.xml" file before. I played around a bit but haven´t found the solution yet. I managed to get the Tomcat status in the server startup dialog to shot "Active and functional" after changing some of the ports in the "server.xml" document but it still doesn´t work. I can open up the configuration tool but when i try to open up my webbrowser and "operation" i get a tomcat error message.
I am not comfortable changing configuration files when i don´t know what i´m doing ("server.xml"). Could you please advise support? I have restored the default "server.xml" file so now i´m back at my original issue. I will post my tomcat error logfile + the "server.xml" file below.

Still not working
Didn't realize it was the port settings in the startup dialog. I tried changing the port as adviced but it is still not starting up. I also tried several other ports (91,91,99) and VPS reboot in between trials. See logfile below from 8090 trial.

That worked. I changed the "Server port" to "8095" in the "server.xml" file and also the tomcat port, both in the "server.xml" file and in the Aware IM startup settings.
The only problem that remains is that i have to manually change the operation login adress to "8090" every time i want to login to / test my application. Can i set / configure the new adress somewhere in Aware IM or configuration files?
