1) make test attribute
2) give it a choice list
3) leave its Initial Value empty
4) set its Presentation to Generate Text Box
5) save the object
6) open up the main form
7) open up the main section
click Preview
note that the field is show as an empty editable text field with no popup/dropdown list of choices.
I THINK THAT THE ABOVE IS WRONG! It should be empty and have a drop down menu of choices.
9) return to the field's definition.
10) set its Initial Value field to have one of its choices and save the object
11) return to its form section and Preview it
Note that the field has the initial value that you set as well as a drop down menu of choices.
12) return to the field's definition.
13) set its Initial Value field to be empty
14) return to its form section and Preview it
Note that the field still the initial value that you set prevouiusly as well as a drop down menu of choices.

Terry,
Thanks for reporting this problem. In our tests the problem happens only if the object is not saved after the attribute is changed. If the object is saved before the form is previewed then all values are displayed correctly.
Please save the object before previewing the form as a workaround until the problem is fixed. Please also note that this problem is only related to preview in the Configuration Tool, it does not affect the operation mode.
