Breakpoint causes java Null Pointer Exception

I can no longer use the debugger. This started after some time of successful use.

If I put a Breakpoint in a Process, as soon as that process is called the program terminates with

Internal Error
Reason:
java.lang.NullPointerException

Looking at the details adds nothing to this message.

I have to crash out of the web page. The Business space will not return to Edit mode - (program not responding) Then I see a report from ConfigTool. A screen shot is attached - though I don't think this is relevant.

The Control Panel adds a little ...
Sever encountered an exception. There are still active requests on the old business space
Please wait until these request complete and try again

I have even rebooted the server to kill any processes - that gets me working again and able to get back into Edit mode.

No integrity problems

When exactly does the error message occur? Which button do you press to get this to happen?
