Configuration Tool Freezing

Hi,

This has only happened since I have insalled the files for the developers edition. If left for a period of time the Config Tool disconnects from the server and then freezes when trying to reconnect. I then have to do a forces quit and restart the AwareIM server. This is happening on Windows XP Home.

This can happen occasionally if you have unstable Internet connection - for example, if your Internet connection is broken temporarily. It may also happen if you do not have static IP address allocation for your machine by your ISP. The ISP may dynamically change the IP address of your machine and it will cause problems. You need to re-start Aware IM in this case. This kind of Internet connection is OK for development purposes but is not recommended for production systems.
