This has nothing to do with ZOHO, or test mode vs live. This issue is the same.
I have uploaded a screen attachment.
Clicking on an uploaded document via the document control shows a blank giant dialog. According to the video, it's supposed to fill in the dialog with the contents of the document. What users have to do now, is close the giant dialog and then open the document via the word/excel/pdf application after they save it. I would be happy if I could just get the big giant dialog to disappear, but this is supposed to work.
How can I get this to work, because documents are a big part of my app?
Dave

Re: Clicking on an uploaded document shows a giant empty dia
Try opening the document in the browser window using 'IN WINDOW'
e.g. DISPLAY DOCUMENT 'MyDocument' IN WINDOW
e.g. DISPLAY DOCUMENT 'MyDocument' IN WINDOW
Re: Clicking on an uploaded document shows a giant empty dia
Not sure what you mean. A user is just going to click on the document in the control and expect it to open.
Re: Clicking on an uploaded document shows a giant empty dia
IN WINDOW opens the document via the browser instead of the built-in Aware IM popup (blank windows).
Browser will decide whether to prompt the user to save the document on their system or it will open the document itself if extentions/software is configured.
e.g. PDFs can be opened by Chrome.
** Works only if opening documents using a Process

Ok, but for that approach (not tested yet) I would have to create a tip underneath the control that says "Do not click on the document to open it". I just cannot see doing that.
I am thinking this should work like in the AwareIM documents video

Re: Clicking on an uploaded document shows a giant empty dia
Aware IM uses capabilities of the browser to open documents of different types. If a browser does not have a viewer for a particular document type, the document is downloaded and the user has to open the document manually. This is accompanied by the empty dialog at the moment. The user just has to cancel it and view the document manually.

I use Chrome. I can tell all my users to use Chrome. That's the worlds most popular browser. The document types that I use are word and pdf. Those are the worlds most popular document types.
Are you saying that chrome has no viewer to open a word or pdf document?
Help me out here. The video shows the documents opened within the dialog properly.
How can I get my AwareIM dialog to work like in the video? I am happy to pay to get this to work. However, if you are saying that the current version of AwareIM can no longer, under any circumstances, open a word or pdf document anymore within the AwareIM dialog, then I understand.

If you use Chrome, and everyone does, go here, and install the google extension:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... gdpimamgkj
This covers office documents.
Then the document displays in the AwareIM dialog.
