CSS Issues

Post by PointsWell »

There are a few CSS issues that exist, particularly with Safari so I thought I would try to group them all under this post.

Given that these are CSS yes, I can go learn CSS, find the classes that are wrong and then place permanent overrides but:
  1. This is out of the box functionality that is wrong
  2. If I go fiddle with this and then some other change gets made then I have permanently imposed something that I won't ever know is later altered
  3. It should just work out of the box for basic functionality

CSS Issue - Button Icons Incorrectly Sized

Post by PointsWell »

This was fixed then broken again in v8.6

If you place an icon on a button (in the icon area) the CSS sizes it too large to fit into the button and the rightmost edge of the icon is truncated.

In the example attached the text area of the button shows the fully formed icon, the icon area shows the truncated icon.

Please update the CSS for icons to shrink the icon to fit the space available

CSS Issue - Sections Borders

Post by PointsWell »

The Safari CSS is hobbled due to a legacy issue that appears to have been resolved

The Safari Webkit engine has disabled fieldset boarders for Sections, which leaves a significantly degraded UI when serving on Apple products.

Attached is the same page viewed in Safari but with the user agent set to be:

Safari/Webkit does not have a problem displaying the section with border while pretending to be a different browser, please bring the functionality back to being level across browsers
