Can we get calculated fields to calculate on screen without having to save the form?

Any calculated field showing on a form should be recalculated on screen as fields that are in the formula change.

If a calculation only involves other fields on the same form, then Aware IM should perform calculations at the client on the fly. More complicated calculations are performed on the server.

I have two calculated fields that are adding 7 fields each on the same form and it doesn't calculate prior to the save.

Any suggestions on what I should check?

Can you tell what the calculations are? We will then check whether there is any reason for them not to be performed on the client (or maybe there is a bug).

Very easy attribute1+attribute2+attribute3 type rule and all the attributes are on one form.

If you still have the app I sent you prior its under "Calculate Total Income" and "Calculate Total Expense"

Sorry for the misleading reply to the previous question. At the moment Aware IM only invokes validation rules on the client, not calculation rules.

This statement should apply, comparable products already have it and I hope to see you add the feature soon. We need it.

Version 2.1 will have this functionality. It is coming out very soon now - most probably next week. If you want the beta before this time send an e-mail to [email protected] and we will send you the link.
