Post by BLOMASKY »

Take a look in Kendo UI site in document section.

Darn, and I thought I did such a GOOD job of checking Aware's documentation before I asked this question. Didnt think have to check kendo's but not a problem.

This has nothing to do with Kendo UI.

Save state operation saves the state of the component. "Restore state" restores it to factory default. For example, the user can show/hide columns of a grid and then save its state. Next time the grid will show those columns that user selected by default. Restore state will revert the grid to show columns that you have configured in the first place.

Thats VERY cool.
It saves the Show/Hide column status AND position (if you re-ordered columns).
Doesn't save Filters or Sorts.
Preserved across logins.

I guess just as a bonus for clients, you could make some browses with lots of fields and allow the user to customize his browse for later re-use.
Not a huge thing, but its nice.
