The following arose due to extensive testing with an Aware App,

a) is it possible to alter the look or text on system buttons such as Create, Save, Ok etc. For example, when a form is protected, the save button should not appear

b) for date control is is possible to have a 'Now' button by the format symbols so the control does not need to be opened when the value is now.

c) can the top menu be 'fixed' so that when you scroll down it stays at the top

Aware IM should not display the Save button if an object is protected. If it does, it could be a bug. You can change the text and appearance of these buttons if you edit the JSP file generated by Aware IM for the form manually. The problem with this solution is that if you make changes to the configuration your manual changes to the form will be lost and you will have to re-apply them. We will do something about it in the new version.

Why can't you initialise the control with the CURRENT_DATE value?

Not automatically. However, you can turn off Aware IM automatic menu and provide a custom banner that would include your own menu. The links that you have to define to invoke Aware IM operations are described in the User Guide. You can also define your own custom left page with your own vertical menu. Both banner and left page are displayed in their own frames, so they stay fixed on the screen.
