I guess "CodeOnTime" and "AlphaSoftware" should also be careful how they also produce forms.

I remember looking at Ironspeed when I was tool shopping. It didn't have the chops for me.

I don't like code generators. Both IronSpeed and CodeOnTime generate legacy ASP.Net code with very old style none object oriented data layer. No rule engine, no Process engine, no data modeling and etc. But they sold a lot to a lot of suckers... :D

George, the reason I posted this thread was to make note that we always have to be careful NOT to copy someone's work (Patented) and then try to run a business out of it. Lesson to be learned. And the smile wasn't for the failed company but rather at the suckers. :)

How is it not relevant?

If AwareIM's intellectual property is patented it protects their business and those that have invested in their software.

If it's not patented, it could be a target for patent trolls or inadvertently be infringing on a patent filed by another legitimate business. In turn, putting any customers that have invested in AwareIM at risk.
