Protect

Post by denisv »

I have a Business Object that has a Status Attribute. This has three attributes, Open, Closed and Reopened. I have made this calculated and default value open.

I then have two processes which allow this value to be changed to Closed or Reopened, (the process also does other actions).

I would like the form to be protected from all if closed, but that users can run the reopen process which then realeases the protect.

When I try to use the protect statement as part of the close process it states that it is outside context. If I use it as a rule against the status attribute, the Close Process fails as the System is not allowed to change the value due to the protect. Is there a way around this ?

Hi,

I found this in the rule manual. Protect from all except system.

Thanks.
