FUNDING: Mobile Electronic Signature - Out-Of-Box Product

I have tried to implement the existing Electronic Signature plugin available without too much success. I was managed to get it working but it would not work on my iPhone Chrome browser.

The plugin is a java applet and unfortunately since Java JDK 7.051, Java won't allow the applet to run on any browser, PC or mobile unless you manually enter the the IP address exceptions + there is always a security prompt you have to agree with.

Electronic signature out-of-box
Speaking to support, they are wiling to develop a HTML5 canvas based signature http://tinyurl.com/7uvlk5q that should work on most browsers.
Signature will be stored as an image (or JSON string) in the database for use in reports, documents and HTML cells. The demo worked on the iphone.

The signature will be implemented as an option in the Picture attribute which would make it flexible and easy to use. It would be included in the next release.

Cost: $800.00

Waiting on some bugs to be investigated, not sure when the new release is scheduled, so it might not happen if it is sooner rather than later.

Happy to report, we have engaged support to develop and roll out the electronic signature capture as an out of the box feature.

It is still not too late to help in offsetting the development cost.

Release date is in about two months as part of the new AwareIM 5.9 version.
