Irritating Save / Close Button

Post by customaware »

Is there any way to do the following please?

Only show a Close Button. Not a Save button.

When Close Button is clicked,
Save the form
Execute process after Save
Return to previous component after form Closed

From my testing with all combinations this is not possible. Am I missing something?
Cheers,
Mark

What you have described is essentially a Save button, which for some reason is called Close. So you just need to turn on the Save button, turn off the Close button and name Save as Close.

I considered that but if I turn off the Close button I cannot flag "Return to previous component after Close"

Then show the form in a popup window...

Popup is unsuitable as the Form has a table on it with an Edit button.

Edit Button does not display in a popup. Only displays when target is a Tab or Default.

Sound a bit like the toe connected to the foot connected to the ankle etc etc but that is the situation.
Cheers,
Mark
