Wishlist: Hidden Attributes

Post by Gabbitas »

Unless I have completely missed it already...

I think it would be great to have a way of marking attributes as 'Hidden' so that they do not show to the end users at any point such as when exporting objects (hidden from the list of available attributes) or when creating user defined queries and processes, user defined docs etc

The reason for this is that I have lots of attributes that are 'system attributes' for making calculations, setting object statuses etc and they don't really contain any useful information to my users.

Would love to hear some other opinions on this or if there is a workaround to this 'problem'.

Thanks

Read protect?

How about using read protect? Doesn't read protect do precisely the things you are asking about? I am not sure because i haven't used it yet but after reading about it, i understood this was the function??
