Number of 'allow multiple' attributes on an object

Number of 'allow multiple' attributes on an object

Does it matter how many 'allow multiple' attributes are on an object? By way of example, if I had a business object that had 500 'allow multiple' attributes, would a read on the object be slow (because it is reading the data for the object, as well as all its 'allow multiple' attributes as well?
