5.3 released

This version has been released today.

ATTENTION existing Mac and Linux users.

Please make sure that you delete the file AwareIM/bin/startupOptions.props file (AwareIM.app/Contents/Resources/java/bin on Mac) after the upgrade. Otherwise you may not be able to run the Configuration Tool. After you delete this file set up your memory settings again.

Sigh....

I Started the update process. I use the Linux version for my server, but the AwareIM.tar.gz fails its crc during gunzip.

I tried downloading it multiple times and unzip on multiple machines, but all have the same crc error.

I have not even been able to get to my usual problem (at every update) with the product key yet.

Help!

An Update.
Managed to extract the files using WinRAR (apparently) and installed on the Linux server. Client Win7 installed as well and I can read the Business spaces.
Only thing is... The web application does not work anymore:

Apache Tomcat/6.0.35

I can get to the logonAdmin.html screen but after that the above error.

No luck yet. I'm wondering whether I may need to delete my install folder and re-install. I've tried everything else.

Pete,

Are you able to set Mouse Over settings for Query attributes & just not able to see them when hovering?

What browser are you using? I've only tested in Chrome. I have 5.3 installed in a different folder than 5.2 at the moment for testing.

I'm using Chrome too. I will try installing to a second folder and see if that fixes it.

Pete, have you cleared the cache of your browser?

Everyone, please do not forget to refresh the browser and/or clear the browser cache after an update to the new version. The browser needs to pick up the changes in Javascript. It will be using the cached version if you don't clear it and most new features will not work.

i must say that the tutorials are great!
i wish i had this when i started using awareim though i'm still learning some things with these tutorials...
I suggest you keep publishing some tutorials... maybe some advanced things too... maybe some examples...
