Configuration Tool Question

Post by ab042 »

Shouldn't the configuration tool ask for or support multiable servers?

I just realized if we have more than ONE server running AwareIM and do development from another machine that we need to setup multiable directory's or multiable BIN type files to get to the correct server.

If this already exist, please advise on a setup. And if it doesn't would it be possible to add multiable servers to the UIconfig.props file or something so when the Config Tool started it would give a list of servers?

Just a thought, not urgent.

At the moment you will have to explicitly specify the particular server you want to access in the UIConfig.props file. If you want to connect to a different one, you will need to shut down the Configuration Tool, specify a different server and re-start the Configuration Tool.

In the future we may add the feature that you are suggesting - to display a list of servers to connect to.

On this same note. It would be very nice to display the IP or NAME of the server your connect to somewhere in the Configuration Tool.

For example, on the title bar:
Aware IM - Configuration Tool Professional edition (192.168.1.123)

Or on the first line of the LEFT Pane
Business spaces (192.168.1.123)
