building executable

when building executable I am getting a message "required file 'build.xml' is not found" can anyone help - windows 7 - aware im developer edition version 4.8.

To use this feature you should have installed Aware IM from a special distributable named SETUPVAR.exe, rather than the standard one SETUP.exe

Which one have you been using?

I have been using SETUP.exe, how do I correct this?

You need to download the proper file from your Aware IM account (that is, if you purchased the Developer Edition). This should automatically download the right file.
