Peer to Child change?

Is it possible to change the relationship of two business objects from being peers to one being the parent of the other without deleting and redefining them?

No, unfortunately at the moment you have to re-create the attribute.

Can I simply delete and recreate the attribute(s) with the desired relationship defined or will there be some side-effects from deleting the attribute(s)? In other words, will rules/forms/documents/etc. be impacted when I perform the delete?

There should be no side-effects. No rules, processes etc should be affected.
