Database Consistency Checks for Derby

Most SQL databases have some type of consistency check that you can run routinely to check for corruption.

I was wondering if there is anything like this for derby.

How are you making sure your Derby DB is consistent? I would hate to think that a db could be corrupt and not noticed and be getting back up. You would have to restore from an older back up to get a conistent db.
