email address clickable on Presentation?

Post by tford »

Is there a way to get an Plain Text attribute that contains an email address to be a clickable link on a Presentation?

Thanks,
Tom

I solved it, but uncovered a small issue.

To solve it:
1- New attribute: Contact.EmailAddressMailTo

2- Contact rule: Contact.EmailAddressMailTo='mailto:'+Contact.EmailAddress

3- In the Presentation tag for Contact.Email address, the hyperlink is "Determined by the contents of the tag": Contact.EmailAddressMailTo

Now the issue:
While clicking on an email address on the Presentation properly opens up a blank email in the user's email client, a blank browser window also opens up.

What browser are you using to test?

Tom,
You may want to try the bottom option "Determined by contents of the current tag"

I tested it in IE7, FF3 and IE6 and did not experience a 2nd browser window.

Support,
Tom and myself discovered this behavior seems to be with V4 and not in the previous version of Aware. If you need a copy of our test bsv please let us know.
