I'm probably missing something BUT...
I can't figure how to show referenced fields in lists or custom presentations.
eg if I have an Activity with an Activity Type attribute referencing an ActivityType table, I want to show the type for each Activity in a lists, queries and in various presentations.
I am not sure what you mean by "lists and queries" here. If you want to show referenced attributes in query results you need to define a shortcut attribute pointing to a particular referenced attribute and then show the shortcut in query results.
You can use shortcuts in custom presentations as well or you can use sub-presentations.
References in forms are simple - you don't need to define anything, Aware IM will show references automatically.
