Hi Aware Support,

I am curious on the progress of your new version. Do you have any details that you can share on what will be included and when the new version is scheduled to be released?

At this stage we can only say that the focus of the new version is more flexibility in the UI and more EXT 2.0 features. The version is still a couple of months away.

A little bit more info on this. In the new version we intend to support EXT forms with all their features. They will be alongside the old Common Controls forms.

I´m not that updated on EXT 2.0 features, but more flexibility to the user interface is just what I´m been looking for, so this really sounds great!!

We are very close to the BETA release now. If you want to receive the beta please let us know. These are the confirmed features of the new version:

1. Web interface fully driven by EXT 2.0 - no Common Controls (except for the Scheduler).
2. Fully AJAX driven, no screen re-draws,, much faster
3. Extensive support of modal windows and dialogs (for message boxes, processes etc)
4. Most EXT2.0 features are supported including but not limited to:
a) Layouts - table, column, accordion, anchor
b) Ability to target the operation to a new tab
c) Inline editing for query results, not just references
d) Grouping in grids
e) Search by attribute text field in grids
f) Label above controls in forms
g) Collapsible field sets in forms
h) More flexible form layouts - ability to merge and split cells, specify properties of columns of fields etc
i) Regular expression masks for text attributes with pre-built validation of e-mails, url's alpha-numeric
j) Closable tabs
etc

Hello support,
I know that your website says that i get 1 year of updates for an awareim purchase. So does that mean i will also get the new EXT 2 enabled version free when it comes out if i go ahead and buy the current version 3 now?
And is there a time line for the final release?

Yes, you are eligible for a free upgrade for 12 months, so if you purchase now you will get the new version for free guaranteed.

The coding of the version has been completed and it is now in testing. Everyone who asked to be part of beta testing will receive the version towards the end of next week.
