Visual Perspective Problem

I dont know if this is meant to be like this, but if is, could Support please consider enhancing it

Problem:

If you go to Visual Perspective, and choose Top Bar, Menu, Settings and go for the Vertical with (horizontal bar) option.

When adding an Item under layout, if you add a sub Item it forces the main Item to become a Folder. So this means you can never get the item in the top bar to run a query once selected. You first have to select the top bar item and then go to the side bar Item to run the query.

If you do not set any sub items then you can attach a query to the item and its fine ,but then you are unable to set up further option queries in the side bar under this item.

I am sure you could do this at one time, Is this normal ? or is it a bug with the new release

If it is normal, please could you change the behavior, so the top bar item can run a query while also having sub items in side bar menu
