Find record(s) from URL request

Is it possible to form a URL from a separate system to be used to bring up a specific record or list of records from a url e.g.

http://www.example.com/customer.jsp?lastName=Johnson

and have Aware IM show a form with a list of records whose last name equals Johnson?
