Hello Everybody!
Did anybody experience the following problem with sending outgoing emails?
I have a couple of Intelligent BOs with the appropriate attributes setup
exactly as it is supposed to be. The Application automatically sends
corresponing e-mail messages to these BOs when some particular "events"
happen (various notifications, reminders, etc.)
I tested this functionality on the development computer in both Testing and
Production (published busines space) mode. Everything was working just fine!
However, after I transferred the same Business Space to the Production Server
the outgoing email messages never reach theirs destinations.
I looked through AwareIM Server log file and didn't find anything suspicious.
According to the log file all the emails used to be sent to the correct email addresses.
From my point of view it could be some incorrect SMTP settings on a Server machine
that don't allow emails to depart from the Server. At the same time the SMTP Server name
looks correct on Application System Settings Object. It seems like if all the emails had
been lost somewhere in between AwareIM Server and recepients' email boxes.
I have a Virtual Dedicated Windows 2003 Server host.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Angarato.

Yes, our VDS is with GoDaddy. I checked how the standard email client
(Outlook Express) works. It does the same thing - looks like the emails
go out without any errors or warnings, but actually they do not!
Pete, could you please let me know what you have with GoDaddy.
Thank you very much in advance!!!!!

Hi,
I have several business spaces and on two of them I am just using my server mail host but on one of my earlier business spaces I use k2smtpout.secureserver.net as the Outgoing Email Host. I have also found that using a different dedicated email account for each business space seems to help. I think that I was getting some locking issues when I used the same email account across business spaces.
I found several mentions of using k2smtpout.secureserver.net when sending mail directly from the server, please give that a try and see if it solves the problem. Also, the outgoing port is 25.
Hope that helps,
Pete
