Calculated Attribute Type

I would like to submit a feature request for a "Calculated" attribute type that would be based on a function and would display the result of that function, rather than storing a value in the database.

For example, I'd like to be able to create a calculated attribute called Client.Name. The attribute definition would be:

Client.FirstName + ' ' + Client.LastName

Now, anytime this attribute is displayed, regardless of whether it's displayed on a form, in a query, etc... it would calculate the value on-the-fly based on the function assigned to it.

This will be more or less covered in the next version that is due out within a couple of weeks. You will be able to refer to attributes and attribute expressions in the HTML cells.

Version 2.3 is out now. It has support for tags inside HTML cells.
